I was born and raised in Mérida,
Yucatán, México. Since I was five years old I have been traveling with
my family from time to time to the United States. While attending
School in México I took English classes as my second language. When
I came to Florida in 1994, I started working as a freelance Spanish
interpreter for TIICO-Translating Interpreting International Company.
While working as a freelance Spanish interpreter I attendedEdison Community College in Fort Myers, Florida where I received my Associate
in Arts, Associate in Science Criminal Justice Technology, Associate
in Paralegal Studies and Graduated with Honors. I also received
my Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies at Florida
Gulf Coast University. In addition, I have passed the
three part test of the Consortium for State Court Interpreter Certification:
Part I General Language Proficiency, Part II Court Related Terms
& Usage, and Part III Ethics & Professional Conduct; therefore, I
strive to uphold a high standard of ethics in my profession.
